What do I do to prep for my tattoo?

Get a good sleep and try to avoid drinking the night prior to your appointment, alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours, it can dilute pigment, affect the appearance of your tattoo and prolong the healing process, so save the Champagne for a post tat celebration instead!

Before you show up have a decent meal and drink lots of water. Pack a little sugary drink / granola bar for the appointment in case you start to feel sick of dizzy (sugar is your BFF!)

Dress accordingly - make sure to wear loose clothing that can easily reveal the area being tattooed. Keep in mind that tattoos on the torso, especially on the ribs may require you to be shirtless. If this makes you uncomfortable, consider wearing a button down shirt that can be rolled up or a crop top to easily reveal the area.

When done with care, tattoos are a fun new addition to your life so let’s make sure we are properly prepped for the experience! Being nervous can be normal for someone who is new to getting tattooed, but try not to worry too much, you’re in good hands and I will be there every step of the way with you.

How long does a tattoo take to heal?

It can take between two to three weeks to “heal,” but it takes months for the skin to fully regenerate.

How do touch ups work?

The first touch up is always complimentary with me for up to a year! Any other situation after the first must be emailed and all digressions are on a case by case basis! To book a touch up, please email me and make the subject line “touch up”.

How old do you have to be to get tattooed?

You must be at least 18 years of age. I have a No Minors policy, even with parental consent.  Not only must you be 18, you have to prove it with a valid Photo ID. No exceptions.

Do I tip my tattoo artist?

Tipping is not required, but is always greatly appreciated by your tattoo artist. We recommend tipping like you would any other service professional.

What sort of stuff do you tattoo?

I only do tattoos that are formatted in my style. All custom work is accepted on a case by case basis. I will not replicate other artists art. I will only take custom requests that are reflective of the work you can see in my portfolio and my Instagram! All cover ups and fixing of other tattoos that are not done by me will also be only accepted on a case by case basis.

Do you take walk-ins?

I do not take walk-ins our shop is by appointment only.

What is your cancelation policy?

Notice of cancellations or reschedules must be made 48 hours prior to the day of your appointment. Anything less than 48 hours of the appointment date is considered short notice resulting in the deposit taken as a cancellation fee. Please reach out to me via email and let me know if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Oh NO I’m having a weird reaction!

It is possible to have certain reactions to certain types of inks. This happens mostly with different colour pigments aka red/blue. There is no way for me to be able to predict reactions of individual clients to these pigments, But the good news is I mostly only use black ink!

Another reaction can possibly derive from using second skin /Hypafix / tegaderm a form of bandaging. This can happen due to the adhesive. If you ever have a reaction of any kind take the bandage off immediately. Wash the area with non scented soap. In the event of any reaction please reach out via email for any questions! But if any symptoms seem serious please seek medical attention immediately from a licensed medical professional.
